CERA Infragaurd WA Anti Carbonation Coating is an aqueous based high build acrylic polymer and micro-porous protective and decorative coating containing specifically blended mineral fillers to ensure lasting durability for exposed surfaces of concrete and masonry structures from carbonation attack.
Advantages:
Excellent resistance to atmospheric carbonation effects.
Excellent resistance to chloride and sulphates - ideal for coastal areas Interior/Exterior coating application
Resistant to Ultra-Violet radiations
Excellent water repellence
Allows the substrate to breathe
Anti-fungal and resistant to algae growth
Excellent bond with substrate and good crack bridging properties
Available in a range of colours
Single component system assists in easier application
Function:
Cera Infraguard - WA is a high build acrylic polymer and micro- porous protective and decorative coating which gets absorbed into the surface pores of concrete as well as produces a hydrophobic barrier on the surface of structure which is highly impermeable to water and water vapor. The unique combination of protectants which are gradually released, results in the prevention of growth of undesired elements on the substrate surface.
Uses:
Cera Infraguard - WA protects concrete and masonry structures from deteriorating agents like sulphates, chlorides and other salts, which are present in the atmosphere in coastal areas.
Cera Infraguard - WA acts as a barrier to carbon, acid gases as well as other atmospheric gases and ensures structural durability.
Cera Infraguard – WA when applied in two coats, forms an impermeable coating on the surface and makes it water-proof.
Cera Infraguard – WA has excellent bond with the substrate and allows the surface to breath.
Cera Infraguard – WA forms a highly flexible film and hence possessa Infraguard - WA is to be coated over an already coated surface. To have a continuous base, the unevenness in concrete surface may have to be filled, so that the Cera Infraguard - WA coating is unbroken. Filling of blowholes or pitted areas can be done with Cera Microseal polymer modified cement mortar and cured for 48-72 hours prior to application of aqueous based primer Cera Infraguard WA Primer. The surface can be dry or slightly wet before coating with Cera Infraguard – WA Primer.
Application:
Application can be done with a brush or roller. Avoid application during rainy weather. In hot and dry weather, slightly wet unpainted surfaces with water to prevent Cera
Infraguard – WA from drying out rapidly.
Mask glass surfaces, joint sealants and bitumen coated areas before application. The material should be stirred thoroughly before use and the coating should be done so as to achieve a wet film thickness of about 130 microns per coat.
Apply Cera Infraguard WA Primer prior to the application of Cera
Infraguard WA. All cracks and undulation should be filled and leveled by CERA POLYCRACK FILLER-X before applying Cera
Infraguard WA Primer. This will enhance adhesion, sheen and opacity of Cera Infraguard WA coating. Cera Infraguard - WA should be applied for minimum of 2 coats on the surface. The 2nd coat may be applied after 6-8 hours of 1st coat. The total dry film thickness for primer and two coats put together should be around 250 microns.
Cleaning:
Brushes/Rollers/Spray and guns should be cleaned immediately after use.
Shelf Life:
If stored in dry, unopened containers, the shelf life is 12 months. Shelf life reduces with increase in temperature and humidity.
